Supply Chain Analytics Senior Consultant
Job Title: Supply Chain Analytics Senior Consultant
Location: Sydney (Hybrid)
Experience: 3 – 5 Years
The Opportunity:
Trace is a boutique supply chain consulting firm that delivers end-to-end supply chain consulting, from strategy development through to implementation. Our approach centres on building tactical tools and analytical models that deliver tangible solutions for clients. We are seeking an analytically minded consultant to work directly with senior leadership on high-impact projects, combining technical data analysis with clear communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Development (50%): Build and maintain the analytical tools that drive our client recommendations. This includes developing sophisticated Excel/VBA financial models, creating tactical applications using Power Platform, and building data visualisations (such as Power BI/React) that enable clients to better understand their supply chain and service networks.
- Strategic Communication (30%): Transform complex data outputs into compelling narratives with clear, actionable insights. You will convert model results into executive-ready presentations that articulate the business implications for client leadership teams.
- Client Engagement (20%): Participate directly in client-facing activities, including workshops and data-gathering interviews. With experience, you will take ownership of project workstreams and manage client relationships independently.
Requirements:
- Data Fluency: Strong capability in managing and analysing complex datasets. Advanced Excel skills are required, along with demonstrated experience in Power Apps and Power Automate. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Power BI is highly valued.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A natural inclination toward efficiency and process improvement, seeking automated solutions rather than repetitive manual work.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to structure logical arguments and communicate findings effectively. You should demonstrate attention to detail in formatting and visual design to ensure clarity and professionalism.
- Professional Communication: Confidence in stakeholder engagement with the ability to explain technical concepts in accessible language.
Highly Regarded Experience:
- Experience or strong interest in React/Node.js, as we develop custom web-based client solutions.
- Prior experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management.
